Anthony M. Giovanniello, MS. Ac., L.Ac.
Founder / Executive Director Acupuncture Ambassadors

Anthony holds a Masters Degree of Science in Acupuncture, is nationally board certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) and is licensed by the State of New York.
Anthony's acupuncture specialty is in emotional trauma, depression, anxiety and stress related illnesses. He is also extensively trained in treating the more than 40 illnesses acknowledged by the World Heath Organization to be treatable by Acupuncture. He is the founder and executive director of Acupuncture Ambassadors (ACUAMB), a 501 (C) 3 non-profit organization. The basic mission of ACUAMB is to travel, teach Acupuncture and treat patients internationally in areas of the world where healthcare is minimal or non-existent. He has taught students and treated patients in Vietnam, Cambodia, Senegal Africa, Nepal and Native American communities. This teaching has included blind massage therapists training in acupuncture and auricular protocols for the enhancement of their vocational training.

Adam French M.S., L.Ac.

Adam is a licensed acupuncturist in New York State and is Board Certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). He has 7 years of clinical experience treating a wide variety of complaints using acupuncture and Chinese herbs. Adam completed 4 years of study earning his Masters of Science in Oriental Medicine degree from Southwest Acupuncture College, which included a 2-year clinical internship. For several years, Adam has been specializing in an advanced style of acupuncture taught by Dr. Richard Tan called the “Balance Method”. In addition to his private practice Adam has been a supervisor at a local addictions treatment center for over 4 years. He oversees the treatments given by counselors who are certified as Acupuncture Detoxification Specialists using the NADA protocol.

Thomas Nash, M.A., C.A.C., L.Ac. (NY)

Thomas holds a Masters Degree in Acupuncture Science and Herbalism and is Board Certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). He has served as Administrative Clinic Director for New York College of Health Professions and presently is the Chairman of the Herbal program of Pacific College of Oriental Medicine, New York City. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from the University of Wisconsin and a Master of Arts in Human Development & Counseling from St. Mary's College in Minnesota. Thomas is a Certified Alcoholism Counselor certified by the Maryland Alcoholism Counselor Certification Board, a Certified Clinical Practitioner of Group Psychotherapy & Psychodrama, certified by American Board of Examiners and a Certified Hypnotherapist certified by the International Association of Counselors and Therapists. Thomas also serves as Adjunct Faculty of Lehman College, City University of New York and New York University, New York.

Peter Yates, L.Ac. Master of Japanese-style Acupuncture

Peter is a licensed Acupuncturist, Board Certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) U.S.A. He holds a Certificate of Oriental Therapies from the East-West Center, Sydney, Australia and the prestigious Certificate of Acupuncture/Moxibustion and Diploma of Acupuncture/Moxibustion from the International Institute of Oriental Medicine, Tokyo, Japan. This is a degree rarely granted to a non-Japanese practitioner.
Peter holds a Certificate in Ryodoraku Acupuncture Technique granted by the Gotoh Acupuncture Clinic, Tokyo, Japan and a Certificate in Advanced Acupuncture/ Moxibustion from Guangzhou College of Traditional Chinese Medicine, People’s Republic of China. He has honed his clinical experience with internships in Guandong Provincial Hospital, People’s Republic of China. Peter is also the Founder of EDO KAI Institute of Oriental Medicine, Tokyo, Japan and New York, U.S.A..
Peter is co-author of the highly acclaimed book Back to Balance. He is a Martial Arts and Qi Gong Practitioner / Instructor. Peter Yates is currently in private practice and conducts advanced continuing education workshops for acupuncturists in the United States and abroad throughout the year.

Michelle LaDue M.S., L.Ac.

Michelle is a licensed Acupuncturist in New York State. She is Board Certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) with an additional certification in Chinese Herbology. Michelle completed 4 years of study at Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in New York City, where she received her Masters degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine. Michelle has had a private practice in Manhattan for over seven years with a specialty in Gynecological issues. She is also a Reiki Master, Shiatsu Practitioner, and practicing Doula (birth coach / mid-wife assistant).

Carol Weingarten, MS. Ac., L.Ac.

Carol has been studying and practicing acupuncture for over 15 years and has a private practice in New York City. She received her MSTOM from Pacific College in 2001 and is board certified in Acupuncture and Chinese herbs. She was an instructor at Pacific College for three years and has been cultivating a yoga practice for over 30 years. She has also been training in Ayurvedic healing practices which she incorporates into her acupuncture practice. She continues to teach yoga asana classes in New York.

Bishal Shrestha, Acupuncturist, Naturopathic Doctor

Born in Biratnagar (eastern Nepal) Bishal completed a diploma course in acupuncture, acupressure and moxibustion, graduating Suma Cum Laude in 2000. He has continued to hone his skills by volunteering with Hata-Sensei’s NGO Yomogi NO Kai as an Acupuncturist in numerous free health camps in remote villages where healthcare is very limited. He has had continuing education training in acupuncture and moxa in Japan every year since his graduation from OTTC. He is the current Director and Dean of Students at the Oriental Treatment and Training Center in Kathmandu (OTTC).
Bishal also holds a medical diploma from a 3 year course conducted by the Nepal Institute of Health Science (NIHS) and a Bachelor in Nature Cures and Yogic Science (BNBYS). He is Founder and Head Physician at the Divya Sanjivani Hospital, an Oriental Medicine Hospital in Kathmandu. He is Secretary of the Health Committee of the Nepal Red Cross, Treasurer of the Acupuncture, Acupressure and Moxabustion Association of Nepal and member of Naturopathic Doctor Association.

Irvi Sulit MS., Ac. LAc, LMT

Irvi holds a Masters Degree in Oriental Medicine from the New York College of Health Professions and is Board Certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). She practices a Japanese-style acupuncture and is a highly skilled practitioner of Chinese and Japanese style Moxabustion. Irvi also a Licensed Board certified Massage Therapist, with a specialty in Shiatsu and Amma style massage therapy.
Irvi is the Executive Director and chief practitioner at Toburan Wholistic Health Initiative of Long Island, New York. The healing principles of Toburan are based on the ancient and traditional therapeutic theories of Acupuncture, Massage, Chinese Herbal Medicine, Food Therapy and Qi Gong. In her practice she strives to achieve and maintain the patients’ optimal health by restoring balance at the root cause of illness.
